Beggars can't be choosers....1977 Beggars Banquet signings The Doll were one of those bands that came within a whisker  but quickly burnt out as the 70's ended.  They had a brief hit in the 1978 UK charts with the 'Desire Me' 45, that scored em an appearance on Top Of The Pops before splitting in 1979, as the first wave of punk crashed.
